The reason I don't have any pics of the actual ceremony is because the person taking the pictures didn't have the flash on my camera so the pics are very dark. As soon as I get some good pics scanned or downloaded, I'll put them up.

Maria and Dennis at the cake table

Bride and groom with parents at the cake table

Maria and Mom (my favorite picture!)
Well, the wedding is over and my sister is now an old married woman (as my mom says). It was so gorgeous. Of course I cried (but only at the very beginning). Dennis started crying when Maria was walking down the aisle and that started a whole chain of people crying: me, my mom, my dad, Maria and Dennis' parents. It was so touching that the groom cried. I still can't get over it. Needless to say, the ceremony was wonderful and my sister was just radiant! I was (and still am) so proud of her. She and Dennis left for their honeymoon in New York that night and per phone calls, have gotten there safely and are having a wonderful time. I can't wait until they get home. It's weird to think that my little sister is married, but then it's not because she and Dennis have been almost inseparable for several months. So I've gotten used to seeing them together and it's strange to see them apart. I'm so happy for them!

Well, my sister's wedding is almost here! I just can't believe that in 4 days she will be married. It's almost mind-boggling. I'm so proud and happy for her that I almost can't stand it. I sincerely wish her and Dennis the absolute best and hope that they have as wonderful a marriage as my parents (27 years and counting). God Bless!
Thanks, Janna, for posting the Kevin Costner pic!!! What a hunk!
Being the Annette Bening fan that I am, I've watched as many of her movies as I can find. By far and away, the American President is my favorite, with Love Affair following a close second. However, Richard III is just about the most AWFUL movie I've ever seen. It's not Annette's acting that destroys it, but a combination of the fake British accents, the story line and the mumbling of the main character, King Richard (played by Ian McKellen). Maybe if I could have understood half of what he said, I would have enjoyed it more. Anyoo, don't waste your time on Richard III, in my opinion. You've probably got better things to do like cleaning the grout in the bathroom.

What's the difference between a lightbulb and a pregnant woman?

You can unscrew a lightbulb!

I just cooked the hugest pot of cabbage ever and I don't feel like cleaning the kitchen!!! WAH!!! I think I'm going to let it sit until tomorrow..........
Show of hands: who LOVES the movie "The American President"?

*raising hand* I DO!!!!

I know I've watched that movie at LEAST 20 times in the last 2 weeks. I don't have cable so I borrowed my parent's VCR (cuz mine doesn't work) and I can't stop myself from watching this movie at least once a day. Friday I watched it 3 times!!!! I haven't decided if it's the actors (Michael Douglas and Annette Bening) or the story line, but I love it. I guess this is bordering on obsession...........

I'm slowly but surely recovering from being sick and, boy, does it feel good to be well again! I always say this after I get sick, but, it's amazing how we can take our health for granted! We just bump along feeling wonderful and not thinking much of it and then WHAM!! You get hit with some kind of illness and your world dissolves. At least mine does anyway. I am NOT a good sick person. I just hope I can remember to thank God on a regular basis for my health and well-being.
Check out Janna's new template!!! Being the ladybug queen, I think it suits her quite nicely.

Forgot to mention a good thing about being sick: I've lost 9 pounds in a week!!!
The wedding is less than 4 weeks away!!! My maid of honor ensemble isn't in yet. *gasp* We've been told by David's Bridal that it should be in soon (i.e. this week). They'd better be right because I still need alterations!!!
For over a week, I've pretty much felt like crap. So, Saturday, my mom took me to the ER at Earl K. Long Charity Hospital where I got a chest X-Ray and a student doc told me I didn't have "full-blown" pneumonia. What a relief. So what exactly did I have? Who knows. All I know is I feel a heck of a lot better today. Praise God! Lots of people have been praying for me and whadya know? Prayer works!

I've been pretty sick for the past week, so I haven't been updating. I'm doing much better now. More updating later.
